The Problem
Local musicians and producers were in need of a locally based but globally available platform to showcase and sell their beats/music.
The Solution
BeatShopper - An E-commerce web application for selling digital products (audio files). Once granted permissions by an admin, users can post their MP3 files for a price they determine. Then, these beats can be previewed, purchased, and received by customers.
FEATURES
Reporting System
Users can report beats for violating the terms of service and/or copyright law. After a number of reports, the beat is then flagged and not visible to or purchasable by the public.
Reviews & Ratings
Users can review beats, which includes leaving written reviews, as well giving a 1-5 star rating, which is then averaged to indicate an average review score or star rating.
Search / Filtering
Search feature checks the titles and descriptions for matches. Users only see beats not flagged due to multiple reports, and beats not marked as "unlisted" by their creator.
